Our Latest Interior Design Reveal

We love meeting our clients in their homes to help them transform their spaces and part of why we love it is that every project is different. Each client has different tastes and goals for their space, and each home is of course, unique. We are really excited to reveal our latest interior design project to you and most importantly we are so happy to have created a living room space that our clients really love and that is essentially inspired by their personalities and style.

Like all our design projects we began with a visit to the clients’ space and got a sense of their hopes for their home and took note of the pieces that they already had to work with as well as the general style and colours, finishes etc. currently in the living space.

BEFORE

The modern design of their home, all the windows bringing lots of light, and the gorgeous hues of the floor to ceiling fireplace and the finishes in the kitchen would ultimately guide our design and the decision to infuse rich warm colours into the design.

THE PLAN

Once we saw the space the fun of pulling everything together began. We came back to the store and created a sample board that included some pieces that we already had in store as well as some pieces that we would special order just for this space. For example, we chose custom fabric for the swivel chairs and had cushions made to co-ordinate for the sofa. We wanted to pull those amazing terracota hues found in the stonework through some of the furnishings, artwork and accessories in order to unify the look and bring warmth. Accents like candles holders, bowls, vases, and artwork were finishing touches that unified the look.

THE REVEAL

What a transformation. The space was already beautiful, but the addition of the colour and new furnishings just elevated the living room even more. The softer texture of the upholstery and throw pillows make the room more inviting and cozy and the result really shows us that a modern home doesn’t have to be stark and all white or neutral, unless that is your taste. In this case the rich earth tones and artistic touches are representative of our clients and their lifestyle. A great design should showcase a beautiful aesthetic and be comfortable too. These are spaces we need to live in after all, and we are excited for our clients to share their space with family and friends.
