There are signs all over that the seasons are going to change again and this transition brings with it occasions to celebrate, opportunities to give back to loved ones and an excuse to go a little over the top in creating that festive feeling within your home. There are so many different looks possible when it comes to dressing up your interiors for the holidays and our number one piece of advice has always been to work with your own personal style and incorporate unique accents that you love and that could be part of your decor all rear round and dress them up with holiday ornaments and florals. Finalize the festive look by styling them alongside holiday accents like Christmas trees, angels, holiday mice and the like.

Invest in a beautiful vase or two and bring the joy of the season to them with holiday florals, greens or berries. There really is a look for every taste. What will your holiday look be this year?

Speaking of looks we have ideas for all your holiday gatherings from now until New Year’s Eve. Inspiring you with ideas for a magical tablescape is one of our favourite parts of the season. It really is a tradition here at Modern Accents and we love helping you create your own new traditions with something new for your table or to bring as a gift for someone elses.

This tablescape is nostalgic with it traditional use of holiday greens and golden hues, but also modern with the stunning black and gold candlholders, magical LED orbs and glamourous dinnerware and glassware pieces. What we love about this tablescape is that it could be recreated in so many different ways simply by changing up the centre golden leaf garland and greenery pieces with something different. You could even use fresh greens if you wanted or swap gold accents for silver or some other colour.

This next one is crisp and fancifal with lights and darks at play. Perhaps you could call it a Modern Accents version of a winter wonderland. The lights of this fun LED twig tree dance on the glass surfaces and the black and white dinnerware layered upon beaded placemats bring such elegance. Black may not at first seem like a festive colour choice, but here against the bright whites it actually glistens.
